Privacy Policy

ACEMATCHA ("we," "us") is a mobile matcha cart service based in Los Angeles, California. This policy explains what information we collect on acematcha.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have — including your rights as a California resident.
1. Information we collect
- Booking & inquiry details you give us: name, email address, phone number, event date, time and location, guest count, selected add-ons, and any notes you include when you request a quote, reserve a date, or contact us.
- Payment information: deposits and gift card purchases are processed by Square. Your card number is entered into Square's secure payment form and goes directly to Square — we never see or store your card details. We keep only the payment confirmation (amount, date, and Square's payment reference).
- Gift card & referral details: buyer and recipient names/emails and gift messages for gift cards; referral codes you use or share.
- Usage data: how visitors use our site (pages, clicks, approximate location from IP, device/browser type), collected through analytics cookies described below.
- Advertising data: if you arrive from an ad, we may record the ad-click identifiers and campaign parameters in the link (e.g., gclid, utm tags) so we know which advertising brought you to us.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, and book and cater your event.
- To process deposits and gift card purchases and send confirmations and receipts.
- To send service emails about your booking (confirmations, reminders, follow-ups). We don't send marketing newsletters unless you ask to join one.
- To run our referral and gift card programs.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it, and to measure whether our advertising works.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
3. Service providers we share data with
We use a small set of providers to run the business. They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations:

4. Cookies & advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics (PostHog) and advertising measurement (Google and Meta). Specifically:
- Google Ads: we and Google may use cookies and ad-click identifiers to measure which ads lead to bookings, and Google may use cookies to show our ads to people who previously visited our site (remarketing).
- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram): we use the Meta Pixel to measure which Facebook/Instagram ads lead to bookings and to show our ads to people who previously visited our site. Meta may use cookies and identifiers for this. For California residents who signal an opt-out (e.g., Global Privacy Control), we instruct Meta to apply Limited Data Use.
- Opting out: you can opt out of personalized Google ads at adssettings.google.com, manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook/Instagram ad settings, opt out of many advertising cookies at optout.networkadvertising.org, and block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time.
5. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know/access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have about you.
- Delete — request that we delete your personal information (subject to legal record-keeping exceptions, e.g., completed payments).
- Correct — request that we fix inaccurate information.
- Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" — we don't sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies may count as "sharing" under California law; you can opt out using the links in section 4, via browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control, or by emailing us.
- Non-discrimination — we will never treat you differently for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email booking@acematcha.com with the subject "Privacy request." We'll verify your request using the contact details on file and respond within 45 days.
6. Data retention
We keep booking and inquiry records for as long as needed to serve your event, handle follow-ups, and meet bookkeeping and legal requirements. You can request deletion at any time (section 5).
7. Children
Our site and services are intended for adults planning events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Booking records are stored in an access-controlled database, and payments are handled end-to-end by Square. No internet service can be 100% secure, but we limit what we collect and who can access it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the homepage.
